Reviews on nokia e63
nokia e63 was released in December 2008. Being a successor of nokia e71, e63 holds in itself the same features as its successor.
a quick review- 16 million color, 2.36 inch screen; quad band, gsm/3g(384kbps); 2MP camera with flash; no secondary camera; push e-mail and so on…..(which all of you guys must be knowing)
in this article I’m gonna give you a brief insight of this cell.
Starting with the pros:-
The look of this cell basically attracted me, the cell is quite different from other nokia cells when thickness is the main concern. Although it is slightly thicker than the parent e71, but of course we can look for some extra space in our pockets when we are getting almost all the features of e71 at a very reasonable price.
The best part of the phone is its ‘easy to use keyboard’. the space key has been shortened, and instead two additional keys has been provided( that are absent in e71). The keys are slightly bulging, kinda like dome shaped, that allows the user to type not only fast, but with ease.
The interface of the cell is same as in e71, as both the cells are loaded with the same symbian version( i.e release 3). There are two home screen option, business and general.
Sound quality is quite decent. The phone comes with a pretty good amount of pre-loaded softwares, naming a few like adobe acrobat reader, dictionary, quick office, zip, real player, flash player etc,.
a 3.5mm jack is available which adds to the plus point of the phone.
Now for those who think that without a powerful battery a phone has no meaning, this one’s surely gonna hit you- the phone comes with a 1500mAh battery. Means? Guys, stop worrying and just become a music maniac. I myself tested the phone and with pretty good amount of usage ( like surfing, music, videos and games), the battery lasted for around 4 days. Light sensor also works decently. Unlike e71, e63′s back cover is finger print free and made of plastic.
Just as we all know, even this is not a perfect one.
Starting with the camera- the camera quality is just SHIT. Even in sunlight, it captures images like hell- so much noise ,the images are even blurred.
No secondary camera- meaning no video call function available. The interface could have been improved. The camera on the back is slightly protruding, and is thus not protected. No strong issues against the multimedia features, but could have been made better.

HTC Desire – All that we desired and more
Untitled DocumentAndroid is in the air and it seems every smartphone has one. Android market expanded rapidly this year even though Google has been tweaking and fixing it all the time.
HTC is the market leader when it comes to Android powered phones. Though, it’s earlier Android avatars left us bit disappointed we are willing to forgive them since it were teething troubles. But not any longer, for HTC Desire has surpassed our expectations.
HTC Desire is the successor to HTC Hero. HTC Hero was a great phone that was well received by one and all but everybody still felt that HTC needs more catching up to do. HTC took the challenge and came up with HTC Desire. It is the smartphone in Android arena. Good pricing and easy to use makes it truly desirable.
Desire is nicely styled phone that has a touchscreen and feel solid in your hands. But, it is surprisingly just 11.9 mm thin. It has real buttons at the bottom of the screen, which many people do prefer and want. The screen is mind blowing. It’s large measuring at 3.7 inches across which is larger than iPhone 3Gs. It has got 480 x 800 pixel resolution with AMOLED display which ensures crystal clarity and superb sharpness.
Now to the best feature of the phone – User Interface (UI). The screen is capacitive which means great touch response. Desire has pinch-to-zoom feature, so that you can you control the onscreen view with your fingers very easily. Owing to the seamless integration of Android 2.2 (called Froyo) and specially-designed HTC Sense interface the user experience is a dream and the response is intuitive. In fact, I believe it is as easy to use as iPhone!
Now move on to check what’s beneath the hood. It is right now the highest spec phone. It has 1 GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon CPU, 576 RAM and the external memory can be expanded up to 32 GB. It has a battery with huge 1400 mAh capacity. Being a touchphone battery life is very crucial. At such a price point, it is very power packed.
The Desire sports a 5 megapixel camera with face detection, autofocus and a flash. Thouhg, not a world beater it’s pretty decent. The camera is capable of geo-tagging too, as the Desire is equipped with a GPS receiver. The GPS receiver works with Google Maps (pre-installed) and supports HTC Footprints (geo-tagging software) and has a digital compass.
The phone has a digital music player that can play all popular music formats and syncs easily with any Windows-based PC. It also has 3.5mm audio jack which is quite useful if you want to plug in to headphones. 32GB of storage is enough for music and movie lovers. Desire also has a FM radio which is a nice addition.
High resolution screen makes internet surf great experience. It is fast with the 3G HSPA connection which offers download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. In a WiFi zone, you can make use of the WLAN connection also. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate, with A2DP support for wireless stereo headsets and a mini-USB connector.
After using it for a week, I fell in love with this phone and truly believe that it is a great phone with superb pricing and features.
