How to Download Apps For Your Blackberry

Blackberry is one of the leading companies of smart phones on the market today. There are currently thousands of applications available for you to download today; some are free while others cost money. They range in functionality, can save you time, and make your life easier. For example, you can be stuck in traffic and have the ability to see how much traffic there is and if there is a better route you can take to save time. You may then decide to pull off the freeway and watch a movie and let traffic die down. You can find times, buy tickets, and get direction to the theater all from your phone.

There are a few ways to go about downloading apps for your phone, the easiest being Blackberry App World. The Blackberry App world has a list of the top free and paid applications, an application search, and application category list. You can find an app for almost anything on the App World and it allows you to read reviews, see a description, and download the app to your phone instantly. You can even go back into the Blackberry App World and see all the apps you have downloaded and installed and get upgrades or uninstall the apps.

The other option would be to visit sites like handango.com which allow you to purchase apps and receive an OTA (Over the air) download link. They will either email or text message a link for you to download the app. These types of sites also allow you to buy themes, ringtones and images.

The third option is to visit the App producer’s website for a direct download. One my favorite apps is WhatsApp and their app can only be downloaded through their website. If you do some research and find an app you like but cannot find it on App World you may want to visit the producer’s website for a download link.

There are several ways to download apps for your blackberry and you can find an app for almost anything. Explore Blackberry App World and you will be amazed at the amount of apps available for you to download.

With the Nokia N8 on our horizons there is a sense of anxiety coming from the Nokia camp. Will it do well or well it dive? Well an impressive spec list seems to push it towards the more successful end of the spectrum, but there is an awful lot of pressure on the N8 to do well as the Finnish Comm. legends have lost there edge lately; pushing some real stonkers of there production line.

The Nokia N8 is very good looking and comes in a number of colour variations, and though its general dimension (113.5 x 59.1 x 12.9mm) aren’t entirely pocket friendly, it is still very nice to handle. The 3.5 inch AMOLED display is impressive, the screen is capacitive, which means it supports multi touch input and it can display over 16M colours in a 360 x 640 pixel formation. The screen also has an accelerometer for UI rotation and a proximity sensor which switches the phone to sleep while it is not being used.

As promised, the N8 is debuting the new Symbian ^3 Operating System which combines a simple user interface with online social networks and news feeds. The N8′s interface is application based with apps for social networking, gaming, messaging and web surfing all coming in the standard setup, but additional apps can be downloaded thanks to the Ovi Store. Along with applications the store has tons of themes and wallpapers to decorate the phones interface.

The phones messaging features include a threaded SMS format, MMS, Instant Messaging with Ovi support and e-mail with the likes of Hotmail and Gmail being compatible. The on-screen keyboard can be accessed by flipping the phone to landscape; it is well sized and thanks to the capacitive screen technology it is very responsive. Social networking is now a life essential and with dedicated Facebook and Twitter applications the N8 is a great tool for SNS management.

Nokia have given the phone 2G and 3G network coverage, Class 33 EDGE and GPRS data network connectivity and Wi Fi. So finding and maintaining a high download speeds and reliable web connections is no problem at all. The phones SNS and YouTube applications benefit heavily from this as does the phones e-mail client.  The Nokia N8 can communicate with compatible hardware via the microUSB connection or wireless Bluetooth technology. A-GPS supports the phones navigation features which incorporate Ovi Maps 3.0 and Stereo FM Radio comes as standard.

The well endowed Nokia has a very nice 12MP snapper on the back which comes well equipped with some Carl Zeiss Optics, AF and Xenon flash. Some other cool features include face detection and a ND filter. HD 720p video capture is possible at about 25fps and an HDMI connection lets you play your high def videos on the big screen. The media centre incorporates a video player and a music player and both can manage a selection of formats without a hitch.

There are some impressive figures surrounding the Nokia N8 already, some big numbers, some high tech specifications and a huge amount of responsibility. Nokia are relying on this phone to re-launch there brand.
