Google and MasterCard launches a new payment system that uses consumers’ cell phones to store credit cards, coupons, and other data. It is called Google Wallet.
Chris McWilton, President of US Markets, Mastercard said “That phone will have a chip in it, which enables you to basically wave it past a terminal and it will communicate, in a secured manner, the information in the wallet, which includes your credit card, your prepaid card information to the terminal and it will flow through the system just like a normal transaction.”

It is reported that some imported food products and additives from Taiwan may have been contaminated with Di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is now monitoring the products and tracing its source.
It was only learned when the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office informed the Department of Health that a company may have imported food products containing DEHP. DEHP is used as a plasticizer in the manufacturing of intravenous bags and tubings, blood bags and infusion tubings and nasogastric tubes. Though it is generally safe, high doses or prolonged exposure can have harmful effects. High doses of DEHP or repeated exposure can lead to testicular effects, fertility problems and toxicity to kidneys.
So when you shop, be sure to check if the product is made from Taiwan.
