Magical, musical stories on all-new Disney Junior

Disney Junior, a new channel brand devoted to children ages two to seven and their families, will launch in the Philippines and the rest of Southeast Asia on July 11. It was recently announced by Laura Wendt, VP and managing director of Disney Channels Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and Korea. Replacing the Playhouse Disney brand, Disney Junior will invite parents and caregivers to join their preschoolers in the Disney experience of magical, musical and heartfelt stories and characters, both classic and new, while incorporating specific learning and developmental themes.

“Disney Junior will feature the hallmarks of the Disney brand: Story and character. We’ll take classic Disney characters, beloved through generations and bring them to life on TV with elements that encourage early childhood learning, wrapped in strong emotionally connected storytelling,” said Wendt. “Parents will delight in seeing their preschoolers engaged and uplifted in a channel they can trust to provide age-appropriate entertainment.”

Disney Junior will be available in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, Korea and Papua New Guinea.

Premiering in conjunction with Disney Junior is the new animated series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, an interactive treasure hunt that follows the adventures of classic characters Captain Hook and Smee, along with a new crew of kid pirates led by the enthusiastic and courageous Jake.

Tips on buying hunting binoculars

Hunting binoculars are a very important tool to every hunter. They are made intended for hunters who hunt in the high ground or in the bush, giving them a huge lead to spy, hound and shoot the animal.

Here are some points to remember when buying hunting binoculars. I hope this will help you in finding the best pair of binoculars, at the right value, with no compromising on features that you may require.

Hunting binoculars should be tough or robust. You don’t want a binocular that will break down easily. Buy a pair that is armour coated with rubber, is waterproof and fog proof.

If you hunt at the break of dawn or at sunset, get a hunting binocular with good light gathering ability. Also, choose a light weight binocular, you don’t want to carry around a set of binoculars that weigh a ton.

Some of the features available on hunting binoculars include a laser range finder, it allows the hunter to range the distance between him and the animal he is hunting. Just bear in mind, that a binocular equipped with a range finder, will most likely cost much more than a binocular without it.

When you go out to purchase a set of binoculars, it is always best to know what you are going to utilize them for. Hunting binoculars will have distinctive features than a pair of birding binoculars or marine binoculars. The best binoculars meant for hunting are not the equal as the best binoculars intended for watching a ball game. You have to select wisely, identify the features that will best go with your interests and see what your price range is.

Make sure you check out some binocular reviews or ask hunters what binoculars they use. Take the time to do the research; it could save you hundreds of dollars.

Kim Kardashian chooses Vera Wang as wedding dress designer

KIM Kardashian is believed to have chosen designer Vera Wang to fashion her wedding dress, Hollywood Life reports.

The 30-year-old was spotted at the Vera Wang boutique on Madison Avenue in New York, with sister Kourtney Kardashian in tow, to browse the couture collection.

Wang, a close friend of the Kardashian clan, had crafted the gown for the bride-to-be’s little sister, Khloe, when she married Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom in 2009.

“I feel like when you think of weddings, you think of Vera Wang. I think it would be a perfect fit,” Khloe Kardashian told E! News about wanting her sister to wear a creation by Wang.

Also yesterday, Kardashian family friend Kathie Lee Gifford, who co-hosts the fourth hour of NBC’s Today show, revealed that the couple had announced a date for the ceremony but that all guests had been sworn to secrecy.

New Jersey Nets basketball player Kris Humphries, 26, proposed to the reality TV star in late May after six months of dating – presenting her with a 20.5 carat diamond sparkler valued at $2 million.
