A Birthday Prayer

Author: Today is our Pastor’s wife’s birthday. So tonight we’re going to have another birthday celebration. It’s actually a double celebration because one of our church leader celebrated also her birthday last June 9.
Those two women are special to me because they are my “ate” in our spiritual family. I really longed to have an older sister since i’m the eldest child in my biological family and i’m thankful for my spiritually family because they filled that longing. So I pray that God’s blessings to pour upon Ate Rio and Ate Cristy, that their heart’s desire may be granted.
Our Heavenly Father, please look upon with favor on your children. Please bless and guide them wherever they may be. Comfort them when discouraged or sorrowful; raise them up if they fall and in their hearts may your peace which passes understanding abide at all times. Grant that they may grow in wisdom and grace and that their trust in your goodness remain strong all the days of their lives. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
