Globe and Smart ready to release iPhone 4S in the Philippines
iPhone 4S will soon be available in the Philippines! Telecom providers Globe and Smart are ready to release the widely anticipated iPhone 4S. Globe Telecom claims that “thousands” have already ordered Apple’s latest iPhone model since the company began accepting online orders last Dec. 1.
What’s in store for us in the new iPhone 4S? Is it worth the wait?
According to Peter Bithos, Globe Telecom’s Senior Adviser for Consumer Business, finds the new model a “great gaming device.
The new iPhone 4S is faster and has a better camera. It runs on our 4G network and comes in 64-gigabyte variants. A great feature that’s useful in the iPhone 4S is Siri. It is the so-called “intelligent assistant” because Siri provides information ranging from the weather to a list of restaurants, with the user being able to put up birthday reminders.
Running on iOS5, the iPhone 4S also has a new messaging feature aptly called the iMessage. With this feature, when you send an SMS, it won’t send as an SMS. It will send an instant message over the wireless network so you won’t get charged. And it does that automatically. There is no limit to the number that can be sent. However, this feature is only for users of iPhone, iPad or iPad Touch with iOS5.
Globe is set to release the iPhone 4S to the Philippine market on December 16.
Dog drives a motorhome
Have you seen a dog driving a motorhome? Well, I’ve just learned about it in the news today. It was reported that Woodley the dog was sitting in the driver’s seat of a motorhome when he dislodged the parking break and then went for a ride. A sales assistant, Phil Newton could not believe his eyes when he saw a dog driving a 20-tonne, double-decker bus through Darwin’s industrial zone.
The dog’s owner Richard McCormack, 62, said: “He sits next to me when I’m driving and in the driver’s seat when I’m not.“The handbrake is on the dashboard and he’s seen me release it many times. He was just copying me. “He’s tried it on before.”
Mr McCormack just parked his motor home in Winnellie Rd, which runs down a slight hill, to inquire about motor home repair work. He left the dog in the bus and was gone only a couple of minutes, that was the time when Woodley go for a spin. After the motorhome moved about two hundred yards, McCormack was able to jump inside and stop it.
